Dr. Nicholas Snavely, M.D. Board Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Nicholas Snavely, MD, earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, located in Houston, Texas in 2006. He completed his Dermatology Residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he served as Chief Resident in 2010. He then completed an Advanced Dermatologic Surgery fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, under accomplished surgeons Dr. Neil Swanson, M.D, and Dr. Anna Bar, M.D.. Dr. Snavely is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatological Surgery, American College of Mohs Surgery, and the American Medical Association. He is an expert in the prevention, detection, and treatment of skin cancer; as well as experienced in other disorders of the skin, hair, and nails.
Dr. Snavely grew up in Avon, Ohio, about 20 minutes west of Cleveland, spending most of his leisure time participating in sports – especially basketball. He attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York earning his Bachelor's Degree in Biology, graduating Cum Laude.
While attending medical school in Houston, Dr. Snavely loved visiting Central Texas, and is now thrilled to have the opportunity to serve patients while living in this vibrant area of the country. Dr. Snavely enjoys jogging, cooking, reading, and he still attempts playing basketball.
